Krakow FMF 2019 – Audiovisual forum – Masterclasses, Meet & Greets, Panels

In less than two weeks, the Krakow Film Music Festival (Festiwal Muzyki Filmowej w Krakowie) will start its 12th edition, to be celebrated 14-21, May 2019. As it is usual, to the already announced vast concert program (read more), an intense masterclass/panel/meeting offer has been added with the 7th edition of the FMF Audiovisual Forum, holding more than 15 events.

In those events, you can find meetings with composers Alexandre Desplat, Craig Armstrong, Antonio Sanchez, Bartosz Chajdecki, Arek Grochowski, Antoni Komasa-Łazarkiewicz, Łukasz Targosz, Atanas Valkov, Richard Bellis, Matthijs Kieboom, Gary Marlowe & Maciej Zieliński, also with orchestra conductor Erik Ochsner, as well as with film director Krzysztof Zanussi. In the masterclasses and panels, you can find people from the industry side of film music world, such as Ray Costa, Robert Townson, Michael Todd, Nikola Bojcev, Pedro Mérida, Robert Piaskowski or George Christopoulos among many others.

 

Surprisingly, composer Don Davis is not featured on any panel or even in a special Meet & Greet, and as we have recently known, Bruno Coulais won’t be able to finally attend the festival due to last minute obligations (watch video).

 

SoundTrackFest would like to highlight one panel in this list, the one to be celebrated on Saturday, May 18th at 15:30h entitled ‘From Passion to Promotion: The Love of Film Music’ which will be hosted by SoundTrackFest’s founder & director Gorka Oteiza, having a very interesting list of speakers with Nikola Bojcev, Pedro Mérida, Marco Patrignani, João Santos & Robert Piaskowski; many of them in charge of Europe’s most important film music festivals.
