La La Land, winner of 6 Oscars (including Best Original Score and Best Original Song), will debut in concert on Friday, May 26th and Saturday, May 27th at 8:00 pm at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, to kick off a world tour named “La La Land In Concert: A Live-To-Film Celebration“, that will go over several American cities, and will even jump later to Europe.
In these shows, two Oscar-winning composer Justin Hurwitz (read news) will conduct a 100-piece symphony orchestra, a chorus and a jazz ensemble, accompanying the live screening of the film, which will keep the original recording with the voices of the protagonists Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling and John Legend, to be blended with the performance of the musicians.
It is clear that the film directed by Damien Chazelle (also Oscars winner for best director), could not have a better debut for a world tour than the Hollywood Bowl, and as Justin Hurwitz said: “Damien made a beautiful homage to Los Angeles with LA LA LAND, and I could not be more excited to celebrate the music of the movie at a LA landmark with incredible LA musicians“.
The event will include unique photo opportunities prior to the show, as well as a fireworks finale, and is directed by Richard Kraft and produced by Lionsgate, Laura Engel & Richard Kraft, Tim Fox & Alison Ahart Williams, and Andrew Hewitt & Bill Silva Presents.
Tickets, priced between $ 35 and $ 200, will go on sale on Friday, March 10th at 12:00 pm (local time in Los Angeles) through the following links, although the pre-order option will be activated in the next 24 hours for holders of American Express cards:
