Metropolis (1927), directed by Fritz Lang, is considered a masterpiece of silent German expressionism and one of the greatest cinematic creations of all time. The restoration of the film’s original version and original music, which was composed by Gottfried Huppertz, was completed just two years ago and now arrives to Athens for the first time, in a joint production between the German Embassy in Athens and the European Film Philharmonic Institute.
