Michel Legrand, the veteran French composer and pianist, seems to be strong despite his 84 years, since he has embarked on a European tour since last October, which until January 2017 will have him busy going through such places France, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Latvia and Spain.
Thus, will visit Barcelona next Friday November 11 to give a concert together with his Michael Legrand Trio, at the Palau de la Música in Barcelona at 9 pm, inside the 48 Voll-Damm International Jazz Festival of Barcelona.
With Michel Legrand on the piano, Pierre Boussaguet on bass and François Laizeau on drums, this great composer, winner of three Oscars, makes his debut at the Jazz Festival in Barcelona with soundtrack themes such as Les demoiselles de Rochefort (1967), The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) and Yentl (1983) among others, and songs like The Windmills of Your Mind, The Summer of ’42, What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life ?, Pope, Can You Hear Me? and The Summer Knows.

And once left Barcelona, Michel Legrand will continue his tour on Poland and Latvia in November and December, ending in France in January, just in time to celebrate his 85th birthday on February 24.
