Wednesday 12/7/2023 – 19:30h – Opening screening RYUICHI SAKAMOTO: CODA
Cine Albéniz – Opening screening: RYUICHI SAKAMOTO: CODA (2017)
Directed by Stephen Nomura Schible
One of the best composers in history. Also, a Japanese producer, writer, singer, pianist and actor. A true art icon who left us too soon, as geniuses always do. This film takes a tour of his career and the creation process. All captured at a time in his life that was as complicated as it was challenging.

A well-deserved tribute to this great art creator would not be complete without a concert. And not just any concert. Great film music composers from our country, clearly influenced by the work of the Japanese genius, will provide their special interpretation of some of Sakamoto’s most famous works.
Nani García, Xavi Capellas, Luc Suarez, Javier Bayón and Joan Martorell, in a concert produced by Sergio de la Puente and all of them performing their own recreations.
