Roma FMF 2022 – Concerts
As we told you a few months ago, a new film music festival is happening at the end of September: Roma Film Music Festival, organized by Forum Studios, and having the collaboration of Krakow FMF & Fimucité festivals (read more).
Roma FMF, which will celebrate its 1st edition from 26.09 – 02.10.2022 in the beautiful city of Rome, full of centuries of history, will offer masterclasses, panels, and concerts.
The concert program has already been announced, and for the moment, it will be as follows.
Thursday – 29/9/2022 – 21:00h – Il Grande Cinema Italiano in concerto
An exciting roundup of the music that helped create the great masterpieces of Italian cinema, from the courageous season of Neorealism to Italian-style comedy, from the most celebrated auteur films to today’s stars. A Grand Gala, celebrated at the Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome, to return to the enjoyment of a unique heritage appreciated worldwide, in a performance of excellence with more than 80 musicians on stage.
The concert will be performed by the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema conducted by Ludwig Wicki and Daniele Belardinelli, in a four-handed, two-stick journey from Cicognini to Rota, Morricone to Trovajoli, Piccioni to Piovani, and many more.

Friday 30/9 & Saturday 1/10/2022 – Star Wars A New Hope – In Concert
The cult film that marked the history of cinema and kicked off the planetary phenomenon of Star Wars comes to Rome for the first time with the “live concert” formula. The Orchestra Italiana del Cinema conducted by Ludwig Wicki will perform the soundtrack in sync with the full projection of the film; more than 80 musicians on stage for an incredible sonic impact at the Auditorium Conciliazione.
This concert will have three shows: 30/9 @ 21h, 1/10 @ 15h, and 1/10 @ 21h
