Roma FMF 2023 – Complete program

Roma Film Music Festival, which will hold its 2nd edition from Saturday, September 30 to Sunday, October 8, 2023, has announced its complete and detailed program that will include concerts, conferences, and meetings, with the special participation of ACMF – Associazione Compositori Compositori Musica da Film and ECSA – European Composer & Songwriter Alliance.

The list of concerts to be held at the Auditorium Concialiazione is as follows:

 

Regarding the master classes and conferences, they will be held entirely at the legendary Forum Studios, and here is the complete program, which includes some concerts in the evening:

Monday, October 2 – FORUM STUDIOS

  • 10:30 – 12:00 Panel: “Bringing Cartoons to Life” – Bugs Bunny at the Symphony, by Maestro George Daugherty – moderator Robert Townson.
  • 12:30 – 14:00 Workshop – “Cine-musical Evocations” by Massimo Privitera.
  • 16:00 – 17:30 Masterclass – “Playing then Listening. Composing for videogames” – curated by Niccolò Pacella (via Zoom).
  • 18:00 – 19:30 Masterclass in the form of a concert: “John Williams: The Essence of the Maestro” with Simone Pedroni, Sara Andon, Cecilia Tsan, and Robert Townson with live musical performances by the 3 soloists.

 

Tuesday, October 3 – FORUM STUDIOS

  • From 10.30 to 19:30 Panel and workshop with the ACMF – Association of Film Music Composers.
  • 20:30 h Concert by ACMF Italian composers.

 

Wednesday, October 4 – FORUM STUDIOS

  • 12:30 – 14:00 Workshop – “FilmScoreFX: Creating cinematic soundscapes with sample libraries!” – curated by Stefano Maccarelli.
  • 16:00 – 17:30 Workshop – Recording of Mission Impossible 7 – Paramount soundtrack recorded between Rome and Venice by Forum Studios.
  • 18:00 – 19:30 Masterclass – Disney and music: from the parks to the movies – by Fabrizio Mancinelli (via Zoom)
  • 20:30 “ENNIO” at Ennio’s house. Special screening of the film “ENNIO” by Giuseppe Tornatore at Studio A.

Thursday, October 5th – FORUM STUDIOS

  • 11:00 – 12:30 Workshop – What can “ECSA – European Composer and Songwriter Alliance” do for you?
  • 13:00 – 14:45 Round table “ECSA – “RIGHTS AND WRONGS” Getting your “rights ” without “mistakes/wrongs” (Luis Ivars – ECSA, Marc du Moulin – ECSA, Lawyer Andrea Miccichè – President IMAIE).
  • 20:30 Conference-concert on the music of the TV series “Mare Fuori” by composer Stefano Lentini with the special participation of the original performers of the soundtrack, the pianist Gilda Buttà and the Children’s Choir “I Piccoli Cantori di Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto”.
