Superman in Concert – World Premiere – January 2022 [POSTPONED]

It seems that ‘Superman in Concert’ doesn’t get to ‘take off’. The world premiere, programmed to be held in Lucerne, Switzerland, on Friday, January 28, 2022, performed by the City Light Symphony Orchestra conducted by Anthony Gabriele, has been postponed again.

This world premiere, which was initially scheduled to be celebrated on May 15 & 16, 2020 (read more), and then was moved to January 15, 2021 (read more), then again to June 4, 2021 (read more), and finally to January 28, 2022, will have to wait a little bit more.
Official announcement:
“Important NOTE – Due to the current pandemic situation and the associated challenges and uncertainties in terms of carrying out projects with a symphony orchestra, this concert was postponed in consultation with all partners involved. The new date is expected to be in April 2022. Updates on this will follow as soon as possible.
Tickets already purchased for this concert remain valid for the following postponement date.

Note that the Royal Albert Hall in London, also has ‘Superman in Concert’ scheduled in its programming. Initially, it was scheduled for October 27, 2020, then March 27, 2021, then moved to July 16, 2021, and its final date (hopefully) will be June 25, 2022.
