Note that in addition to multiple film screenings, during the festival several master classes will be held, all related to film music:
- On Tuesday, November 7 at 6:30 p.m. (Gulf Stream cinema), director Christian Carion and composer Laurent Perez Del Mar will talk about the music of the film “Mon Garçon”, which narrates a free and radical experience, where the music serves as a change to a world of darkness and abstraction.
- On Friday, November 10 at 6:00 p.m. (Gulf Stream cinema), the conference “Melville and music” will be held. Jean-Pierre Melville, French star of the film noir, would have turned one hundred years in 2017. His relationship with music was passionate and complex, including his own films, and Rémy Grumbach, television producer and nephew of Melville and Eric Demarsan, arranger and composer will talk about it.
- On Sunday, November 12 at 4:30 p.m. (Gulf Stream cinema), the conference “50 years of music for the image” will be held, where just one day after his concert, composer Vladimir Cosma will talk about the innovative approach of his works and how he reinvented the musical aesthetics of the French comedy, managing to find his way and stand out with his style.
