The proximity of the celebration of Halloween is leading to the emergence of multiple concerts, which either offer a program dedicated to terror soundtrack genre, or as in this case, provide the projection of a horror movie with music specially adapted for the occasion.
On Tuesday October 25th at 8 pm, the world premiere of “Evil Dead In Concert – A Halloween Experience” will be held at gothic style The Theatre of the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, where live music will accompany the projection of film the Evil Dead (1981).
With the original Evil Dead film protagonist Bruce Campbell as presenter of the evening, and composer of the soundtrack Joseph LoDuca attending as a special guest, the Wild Up Chamber Orchestra of Los Angeles will perform a special adaptation of the soundtrack for the occasion, prepared by LoDuca himself.
As opening of the show, violinist Lili Haydn and actress Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film saga) will perform a world premiere of The Tell-Tale Heart: A Duet In Terror, composed by Joseph LoDuca, and based on the famous short horror story by Edgar Allan Poe.
The event will be directed by Jaime Robledo and Richard Kraft, who has recently been creative director of the acclaimed Disney’s The Little Mermaid In Concert at the Hollywood Bowl, and will be produced by Wordless Music, Laura Engel & Richard Kraft, Spaceland and Allison Abbate.
