Concert ‘Hollywood Meets Classics: John Powell’ in Prague in 2018 [MOVED TO 2019]

The team behind Film Music Prague festival has just announced a special concert with Hollywood composer John Powell for 2018, a concert named ‘Hollywood Meets Classics: John Powell’, which will be celebrated outside the festival on Saturday 16th of June, 2018 – 7 p.m., at the Forum Karlin in Prague (Czech Republic).

 

John Powell, who will be present and main guest of his very first concert in Prague, will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the end of First World War with his classical work called A Prussian Requiem; a monumental piece of music for huge symphony orchestra, choir and soloists.

 

The program will also include many of his film music scores such as United 93, Jason Bourne film saga, X-men: The Last Stand, How to Train Your Dragon or Ferdinand among others.

 

The concert will be performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Christian Schumann, and will also have the participation of the Kühn Choir, tenor Petr Nekoranec, and baritone Boris Prygl.
