Vaduz Classic Festival 2021 – Film music concerts

Thursday 26/8/2021 – 20:30h – Magic Moments in Film Music

Under the direction of Kevin Griffiths, the Liechtenstein Symphony Orchestra and the Swiss Gospel Singers Choir, officially inaugurate the four-day festival with a special concert dedicated to “Magic Moments in Film Music”, at the open-air venue, Parkhaus Marktplatz in Vaduz.

 

The South African composer and singer Lebo M, the voice from the film ‘The Lion King’, will be the guest star of the concert, in addition to singers Sarah Längle from Liechtenstein and Nadia Maria from Switzerland. The event will be moderated by TV star Nina Ruge.

 

The program will be as follows:

• Alfred Newman (1900-1970) – 20th Century-Fox Fanfare
• Erich Wolfgang Korngold (1897-1957) – Overture from the film “Captain Blood”
• Maurice-Alexis Jarre (1924-2009) – Main theme from the film “Lawrence of Arabia”
• Elton John (* 1947) / Lebo M (* 1964) / Hans Zimmer (* 1957) – “He Lives in You” from the movie “The Lion King”
• Maurice-Alexis Jarre (1924-2009) – Main theme from the film “Dr. Zhivago “
• John Williams (* 1932) – Main theme from the film “Indiana Jones – Raiders of the Lost Ark”
• Nino Rota (1911-1979) – Main theme and love theme from the film “The Godfather”
• Eric Serra (* 1959) – “Diva Dance” from the film “The Fifth Element”
• Scott Bradley (1891-1977) – “Tom & Jerry” suite
