ISFMF 2022 – 10th edition – July – Gladiator & Scott A. Millan
International Sound & Film Music Festival – ISFMF reaches its 10th edition in 2022, being on this special occasion celebrated on several locations and dates (read more).
Last weekend, on Sunday, July 24th, the festival had its first event in Pula, Croatia: the screening of the movie Gladiator, preceded by the ceremony of the Crystal Pine Award for Lifetime Achievement to Scott A. Millan, American sound re-recording mixer, who won an academy award by Best Sound in Gladiator.
The screening of the movie, which took place in the old Roman Amphitheater of Pula, was attended by 3.500 people, and was introduced by a video of the theme “Now We Are Free (Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard)” performed by Nina Kraljić, Ozren K. Glaser and Iskandar Widjaja.

Scott A. Millan has received nine Oscar® nominations over the course of his career in feature film – winning for Ron Howard’s Apollo 13, Ridley Scott’s Gladiator, Taylor Hackford’s Ray, and Paul Greengrass’ The Bourne Ultimatum. Among his honors, he was acknowledged by his peers and industry colleagues with the Cinema Audio Society’s highest accolade in 2013, the CAS Career Achievement Award. Mr Millan is also the recipient of four BAFTA Film Awards, six Emmy® Awards, three CAS Awards, one Satellite Award, and numerous other career tributes.
