Cinema:Sound – Danny Elfman – Vienna – May 2027

Under the title Cinema:Sound, the Wiener Symphoniker are taking up their long tradition of film music and, together with Tomek Productions, bring a film music legend to Vienna every year to guide the orchestra through their sound worlds.

 

Following the paths of Patrick Doyle in 2026 (read more), James Newton Howard in 2025 (read more), Alexandre Desplat in 2024 (read more), and Joe Hisaishi in 2023 (read more), on 5 May 2027 at 19:30h, the American composer Danny Elfman will be present at the Musikverein, having his music performed by the Wiener Symphoniker.

 

The Great Hall will be a witness of his outstanding music from films such as Batman, Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and many more.
