7th edition of ‘Concert & Screening. Audiovisual pleasure’ at the San Sebastian Festival 2019

Today, Tuesday, September 10, the 7th edition of the film music concert ‘Concierto & Proyección. Placer audiovisualConcert & Screening. Audiovisual pleasure’ has been presented in Donostia-San Sebastián (Spain) which will be performed in September by the Basque National Orchestra conducted by Juan José Ocón, with the participation of the choir Landarbaso Abesbatza.

7th edition of ‘Concert & Screening. Audiovisual pleasure’ - Presentation

 

The concert, which will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 12 noon at the Anoeta Velodrome, will be free entry with a capacity of 2,700 seats. The concert, which is already a classic, is included in the program of the 67th edition of the San Sebastian Festival / Donostia Zinemaldia, which takes place September 20-28.

 

Among the composers leading this year’s edition we can find Pascal Gaigne, Joseba Beristain, Vanessa Garde, Nani García, and Manuel Parada, for a concert that will have the following program:

  • Manuel Parada – Nodo. Noticiarios y documentales
  • Manuel Parada – Los últimos de Filipinas
  • Pascal Gaigne – Handia (Directors: Aitor Arregi, Jon Garaño)
  • Joseba Beristain – Elkano. Lehen mundu bira* (Director: Ángel Alonso)
  • Nani García – Arrugas (Director: Ignacio Ferreras)
  • Vanessa Garde – La gran aventura de los Lunnis y el libro mágico* (Director: Juan Pablo Buscarini)
  • Pascal Gaigne – Errementari* (Director: Paul Urkijo)

Just like in years past, the concert will have an extra visual element with the projection of a montage of scenes from the movies on a 400 m2 screen, specifically created for this concert by Carlos Rodríguez, from Morgancrea. Also, some of the composers will be attending the concert, and will introduce their works.

 

To attend the concert will be necessary to collect a free invitation from September 14 to 20 at the information points of the festival at the Kursaal Center and Okendo Plaza, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. as well as in the Donostia Tourism Office, from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

This concert is organized by the SGAE Foundation, the Basque National Orchestra and the San Sebastian Festival/Donostia Zinemaldia.
