Film music concert at the San Sebastian Festival 2026 – Date and artists
The 74th edition of the San Sebastian Festival – Donostia Zinemaldia will hold its traditional annual concert and screening event, which this year celebrates its 13th edition, on Saturday 19 September 2026 at 18h at the Anoeta Velodrome in San Sebastián, Spain.
Thus, on the first Saturday of the Festival, the Velodrome opens in the afternoon to music lovers, film fans, and the general public, in a show that combines the symphonic interpretation of soundtracks and a montage of scenes from the films to which they belong.
The concert will be performed by the Euskadiko Orkestra under the baton of Juanjo Ocón, with the participation of the Donostiako Orfeoia choir and tenor Andoni Martínez Barañano.
At the moment, neither the programme nor the participating composers whose scores will be heard this year have been announced. As soon as the organisers make it official, we’ll be keeping an eye out and will bring you all the details.
As is customary at this kind of concert, once the programme is confirmed it’s likely that most of the participating composers will attend as special guests, although there is no official confirmation of this as yet.
The concert is organized by the Euskadiko Orkestra, the SGAE Foundation, and the San Sebastian International Film Festival – Donostia Zinemaldia. Entry is free, and the invitation must be picked up between 12 and 18 September at the San Sebastian Festival information point at Kursaal, from 9:00 to 20:00, or at the San Sebastian Tourism Office, Monday through Saturday from 9:00 to 20:00, and Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00.
