FIMUCITÉ 13 – Tribute to Ennio Morricone
The 13th edition of the Tenerife International Film Music Festival (FIMUCITÉ), will start its program on September 20th, 2019 with a tribute concert to maestro Ennio Morricone entitled ‘Cinema Morricone’, performed by the pianist Simone Pedroni and the flutist Sara Andon.
This concert will take place on Friday 20th at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna (Tenerife), and will be repeated on Saturday 21st at the Teatro Guiniguada in the capital of Gran Canaria.
The recital ‘Cinema Morricone’ will take audiences on a journey through some of the most famous and celebrated scores by this prodigious composer, including ‘Cinema Paradiso’, ‘The Mission’, ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ and ‘The Untouchables’, amongst other pieces, in a program created by Robert Townson, a producer specialized in film music. With a musical selection that spans over six decades of maestro Ennio Morricone’s legendary career and more than 500 film scores, audiences will also enjoy compositions created for westerns such as ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’ and ‘Duck, You Sucker!’, a.k.a ‘A Fistful of Dynamite!’.
In addition, Sony Classical record label has just announced the release of a double CD with the repertoire of ‘Cinema Morricone’ on May 25th.
Tickets for ‘Cinema Morricone’ concerts will be soon on sale at the price of 15 € and can be acquired at the box offices of both theaters (Guimerá and Guiniguada), as well as through the website Entrees.es (https://entrees.es/).
