Goya Awards 36th edition – Winners

Yesterday, Saturday, February 12th, the 36th edition of the Goya Awards, often called the Spanish “Oscars”, was celebrated in Valencia, Spain.

 

Organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain, these awards have the purpose of rewarding the best professionals in each of the different specialties of the sector, both technical and creative.

 

The award for best film went to ‘The Good Boss’, winner of the night with 6 Goyas, followed by ‘The Laws of the Border’ with 5, and ‘Mediterraneo’ & ‘Maixabel’ with 3 each other.

 

The Goya Award for Best Original Score was for Zeltia Montes for her work on ‘The Good Boss’. Below are the nominees/winners in the music categories:

Best original music/score:

  • Zeltia Montes – El buen patrón
  • Fatima Al Qadiri – La abuela
  • Alberto Iglesias – Maixabel
  • Arnau Bataller – Mediterráneo

 

Best original song:

  • «Te espera el mar» – Compositores: Maria José Llergo, para Mediterráneo
  • «Burst Out» – Compositores: Àngel Leiro, Jean-Paul Dupeyron, Xavier Capellas para Álbum de posguerra
  • «Que me busquen por dentro» – Compositores: Antonio Orozco, Jordi Colell Pinillos para El cover
  • «Las leyes de la frontera» – Compositores: Alejandro García Rodríguez, Antonio Molinero León, Daniel Escortell Blandino, José Manuel Cabrera Escot, Miguel García Cantero para Las leyes de la frontera
