James Newton Howard Tour 2016-2017

It seems that James Newton Howard has started to like giving film music concerts. Although in 2015 we had his presence in Vienna as the main guest of the festival “Hollywood In Vienna”, and in 2016 we will have the opportunity to enjoy his music in Bilbao on December 7th conducted by himself (together with Fernando Velázquez), today he surprises us with a news announcing a tour of concerts across Europe by the end of 2017.

Named “James Newton Howard – 3 Decades of Music for Hollywood – Tour 2017“, and visiting 15 European locations, the composer will be in charge of a symphony orchestra and a choir of about 100 people to direct his music, while projecting images of the films on a screen on the stage.

 

In addition, he will also tell stories and anecdotes from his life and work with famous people in the world of cinema and music, such as Lawrence Kasdan, M. Night Shyamalan or Elton John.

According to James Newton Howard, “I have been fortunate to enjoy a 30-year career in Hollywood, and to have composed for some of the greatest and best films of all time. I want to share my music and my memories with the audience during this tour. ”

“During this very special evening, I will be directing many of my best-known works, as well as telling some of the stories they hide, with the help of clips and interviews that include my collaborators of all these years.”
