‘Moonlight’ in concert with Nicholas Britell

Today, January 10th, the movie Moonlight (winner last Sunday of the Golden Globe for best drama) will be screened in a world premiere at the Million Dollar Theater in Los Angeles (California), 8 p.m., while its music, composed by Nicholas Britell, is performed live.

The performance will be in charge of the Wordless Music Orchestra (with 30 musicians) conducted by Ryan McAdams, with composer Nicholas Britell himself playing the piano and electronic keyboards, accompanied by the violinist Tim Fain (original violin soloist from the soundtrack recording) and the soprano Mellissa Hughes (who sang the Mozart aria in the film).

A post-show conversation will be held after the screening, with director Barry Jenkins, composer Nicholas Britell, and lead actor Mahershala Ali.
