OCNE ‘Family concert’ in Madrid

Tomorrow Sunday, April 9th at 12 noon, the National Orchestra and Choir of Spain (OCNE) under the direction of Juan Carlos Lomonaco, will give a family concert at the National Auditorium of Music of Madrid that will be named “OCNE. Family Cycle. Orquestarium“, and that will be aimed for young people and will have a mix of classical music and movie music.

 

The planned program is as follows:

  • John Adams – Short Ride In A Fast Machine
  • Georg Friedrich Händel – Hymn For Coronation No. 1 (Zadok, The Priest)
  • Joseph Haydn – Symphony No. 44 “Funeral”: Iv. Finale: Presto
  • Joseph Haydn – The Seasons: Komm Holder Lenz (Come, Beautiful Spring)
  • Hector Villa Lobos – Bachiana Brasileira No.2: Iv. Toccata (the Little Train)
  • Alexander Borodin – Prince Igor: Polovtsian Dances
  • Raymond Scott – Powerhouse (orchestrated by R. Wendel)
  • John Williams – Amistad: Dry Your Tears, Africa
  • John Williams – Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban: The Knight Bus 3
  • John Williams – Star Wars: The Phantom Menace: Duel Of The Fates
  • Georg Friedrich Händel – Hallelujah from The Messiah, orchestrated by W.A. Mozart
