‘Fans of Film Music’ 2017 – Event information

Everything is ready and tomorrow Saturday, September 2nd, the 8th edition of ‘Fans of Film Music’ event will begin at The Bridge Recording Studio in Glendale (Los Angeles), organized by its founder and president Peter Hackman.

Throughout the day several raffles will be held of various autographed material and soundtracks especially donated for the occasion.

There are 7 confirmed guests in total:

  • Tina Guo, famous violoncellist that has been touring with Hans Zimmer and that has been soloist in many soundtracks such as: Wonder Woman, Sherlock Holmes, Origen or X-Men: First Class.

 

  • David Buckley, who has collaborated in many soundtracks with Harry Gregson-Williams or John Powell, and has composed music for Jason Bourne, The Nice Guys, Trespass, Blood Creek or The Town.

 

  • Alex Heffes, known for his music for One Day in September, The Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void, or the recent TV Series based on a Stephen King book, 11.22.63.

 

  • Michael Abels, composer of the soundtrack of the horror film Get Out, which has broken ticket office records being the third most successful horror film of the American history.

 

  • Lolita Ritmanis, composer specialized in movies and TV, who started with Shirley Walker, and that collaborates regularly with Kristopher Carter and Michael McCuistion through Dynamic Music Partners. Recently she has composed the music for Batman and Harley Quinn, the documentary An Act of Love and Batman: The Killing Joke.

 

  • Daniel Hart, composer of the soundtracks Pete’s Dragon, A Ghost Story, Eating Animals documentary or The Exorcist TV show among others.

 

  • Steve Jablonsky, famous composer of the well-known saga Transformers, the TV series Desperate Wives, and the recent movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.

 

The event will coincide with the weekend of the three concerts that John Williams and David Newman will be conducting at the Hollywood Bowl September 1st, 2nd and 3rd (read news).
