Gaudi Awards 9th edition – Winners

Yesterday, Sunday January 29th, the Gaudí Awards were presented by the Catalan Cinema Academy, recognizing the best Catalan cinematographic productions of the year, and which this year celebrate their 9th (IX) edition.

 

At the ceremony, the film “A Monster Calls (2016)” got 8 awards out of 11 nominations, although it did not obtain “Best Original Music“, that was for Sílvia Pérez Cruz for “Cerca de tu Casa“, competing against:

As a curiosity, the gala had its part of controversy, since the scriptwriter and director Javier Giner, has accused the Catalan Cinema Academy of having plagiarized his short “Door to Door” (2014), in the gags used during the ceremony.
