The Krakow Film Music Festival is starting in less than 7 days, celebrating its 11th edition from Tuesday, May 29th to Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 in Krakow (Poland).
You can find more information about the whole program of concerts in this special article in SoundTrackFest (read more), but we’d like to point out a special free event to be held on Sunday 3rd of June at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre – S2 hall at 13:30h called “MUSIC PANEL – Varèse Sarabande presents: The Art of Inspiration”.
The event, hosted by Robert Townson from Varèse Sarabande, will offer a recital inspired by art, a musical live performance combined with painting, where Angela Bermúdez, an artist from Costa Rica who loves sculpture and painting, will translate sounds improvised by musicians on stage onto a canvas.
Her inspiration: composer Austin Wintory who will play the piano together with enthusiastic cellist Tina Guo and sensitive flutist Sara Andon. The musicians will lead the way to the Costa Rican painter with their musical improvisation, as the empty canvas begins to fill up. Eimear Noone, an extremely charismatic conductor and composer of music for video games, will also be part of the panel that will complement the performance. A special event, which shows how different art forms (music and painting) can inspire and complement each other.
