Oscar 89th edition – Nominees

Today Tuesday 24th, Oscar nominees of this year have been announced, where the film La La Land  is the absolute favorite present in 14 categories, equaling the record of 14 nominations established by Titanic (1997) and All About Eve (1950), and the films Arrival and Moonlight follow within a distance with 8 nominations each.

The Oscars are annual awards given by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) of the United States, in recognition for the excellence of professionals in the film industry, being widely considered the highest honor in the world of cinema.

 

These awards, in their 89th edition, are divided into a total of 24 categories, highlighting at the musical level the following ones:

The ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, February 26th – 4pm at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood & Highland Center (Los Angeles – California), will be hosted by TV presenter and comedian Jimmy Kimmel, and will be broadcast live by ABC Television Network, being present in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
