Oscar 89th edition – Winners

Yesterday, February 26, the 89th edition of the Oscars was held at the Dolby Theater of Hollywood & Highland Center (Los Angeles – California), where the movie La La Land won 6 of its 14 nominations.

 

Two of those awards were Best Original Score and Best Original Song (City of Stars), for composer Justin Hurwitz and lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

As a curiosity, this ceremony will be remembered for the tremendous failure happened when reading the final award for Best Picture by Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty, since a mistake in the envelopes changed the right one for the envelope to the Actress in a Leading Role, and for a moment La La Land was announced as the winner of the award, being actually for Moonlight.
