Danny Elfman in Hollywood in Vienna 2017
It is official, Danny Elfman will be the guest of honor of the 10th edition of the Hollywood in Vienna festival, which will have two concerts, the first on Thursday September 28th and the second on Friday September 29th.
The program of both concerts will be the same, being Thursday 28 a pre-premiere and Friday 29 the gala, where Max Steiner Award will be presented to Danny Elfman.
Named “Fairytales”, the concert will have ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by John Mauceri, and will be divided in two parts.
The first part will be thematic, and will feature music from Beauty and the Beast, The Chronicles of Narnia, Mulan, Finding Neverland, Life of Pi and The Lion King among others. In the second part, dedicated entirely to Danny Elfman, there will be music from Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, Batman, Batman Returns or The Simpsons among others, and will have Danny Elfman on stage to sing some of the themes.
